Our History
Founded in 2014, Magpie Health Analytics began by providing analytic services to government agencies, health plans, providers, and other vendors. Magpie is recognized for its expertise in risk adjustment, quality of care, healthcare data, and technologies such as SAS, Python, and Spark.
Our Founder
Magpie's founder is Bil Westerfield. Prior to starting Magpie, Bil was part of SAS® Commercial and Government Healthcare teams helping clients build and implement innovative advanced analytic applications. Before joining SAS®, Bil spent over a decade leading health services research and predictive modeling at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee. Bil holds a Masters degree in Political Science from the University of Tennessee.
